Poem #2: Out Looking In

I sit here and think

What it would be like with you.

I should have treasured

The love

You

Gave me

So freely.

I knew you wanted me.

I sit here wanting

What I lost.

The boss,

Love, showed me.

No one has a cure,

No immunity,

Just like you’re loved,

You can be

The one

Out looking in

Desperately.

She said, I didn’t need her,

My love wasn’t true.

When she left, I knew,

Remembered every moment

(So precious) she shared with me.

She’s moved on.

I was so wrong.

Now, I see.

No one has a cure,

No immunity,

Just like you’re loved,

You can be

The one

Out looking in

Desperately.
